NJ Goes with Nucomm

The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority—which oversees the operation of Giants Stadium and the Izod Center in East Rutherford—selected Nucomm’s CamPac 2 wireless camera transmitters and Newscaster DR diversity receivers for use at the two facilities.

The CamPac 2 can handle applications including electronic newsgathering, portable camera mounting for sports production, helicopter and UAV links, and portable, mobile video, and data links. It is available in either unlicensed 5.8-gigahertz or licensed 6.4-GHz or 6.8- to 7.1-GHz bands.

And the Newscaster DR 2 offers new features including “intelligent” block downconverters, which communicate to the DR2 receiver to control various operating modes.
