Murray’s Victory Boosts BBC’s Wimbledon Ratings

Boosted by a victory by countryman Andy Murray, the British Broadcasting Corp. reported 11.8 million viewers and a 54% audience share for its coverage of the Wimbledon Championships Monday night, Variety’s Leo Barraclough reported.

The match was able to continue until 10:45 p.m. local time thanks to the new retractable roof and floodlights at Centre Court.
