NBC Remains in Bidding for Olympics Rights

NBC will continue its bid for the 2014 and 2016 Olympic Games despite its impending acquisition by Comcast, The New York Times reports. General Electric, which remains in control of NBC Universal while regulators review Comcast’s deal to acquire the company, said that it will occasionally consult Comcast on NBCU-related decisions.

NBCU chief Jeff Zucker confirmed that the media giant will not pull out of the bidding for the 2014 and 2016 games. NBC already has the rights to the 2010 and 2012 Olympics.
