Fox Sports is utilizing Game Creek Video’s new Dynasty dual-unit expando truck for coverage of the 2010 World Series this week. Outfitted with the latest in HD video capabilities (including 3G 1080p), Dynasty (and its new sister vehicle Larkspur) also carries Canon HD lenses exclusively for its complement of Sony HD cameras.

“We have a long, successful legacy with Canon,” says Game Creek Video president Pat Sullivan. “We know that they design and build products that are built to work well in the field and work well in important no-fail situations. And there’s also the matter of very strong Canon support as well.”

Dynasty will deploy five Canon XJ86 long-zoom HD field lenses, four XJ100 long-zoom HD field lenses, three HJ22 portable ENG HD lenses, and two HJ14 portable wide-angle HD field lenses. Both the XJ100 and XJ86 feature Canon’s Optical Shift Image Stabilizer technology for rock-solid HD video at telephoto distances.

“Dynasty our newest truck,” Sullivan adds. “It was built primarily for use by the YES Network, which wanted a truck that was very forward-thinking. A lot of the thought-process that went into the truck was designed to meet YES’s needs for the future as well as those of FOX Sports and its future World Series events. Dynasty is an extremely powerful and flexible truck that can ingest a lot of additional equipment that you need at an event such as the World Series.”

As for Larkspur, a single-expando that debuted one month prior to Dynasty this past summer, Sullivan says: “It’s a very similar truck in terms of its backbone. It was built for use on college game day, which is a signature show for ESPN. And, again, it’s built with the future in mind so that when things come along like 3G and 1080p, this truck will be able to do it.”

Asked how it is that Game Creek Video continues to grow, with two new trucks recently added to its already sizable fleet, Sullivan adds: “It’s primarily the people that I’m fortunate enough to work with. Our engineers, our drivers, and our support staff here at the office all play a key role in our continued growth.”

Larkspur’s complement of Canon HD portable and long-zoom HD field lenses is identical to what Dynasty carries. Both trucks use Canon HD lenses exclusively.
