Campus Clips: Quinnipiac Makes Live Broadcasts Free on Mobile Devices; BracketBuster Matchups Slotted

The Quinnipiac Department of Athletics has partnered with Boston-based production company Pack Network to make all video streams of Quinnipiac’s remaining men’s and women’s basketball and ice hockey games at the TD Bank Sports Center available live for free. The new feature at will allow viewers  to watch and listen games live on iPhones, iPads, Androids, Kindle Fires, PC’s and laptops…

…Earlier this week, matchups were set for the upcoming 10th annual BracketBusters event, one of the biggest days on the mid-major college basketball calendar. Among the top mid-major conferences represented on the ESPN family of networks beginning tonight include the Missouri Valley (5 teams), CAA (3), MAC (3), Horizon (2), Summit (2), WAC (2), and WCC (2). Marquee matchups feature Saint Mary’s at currently-undefeated Murray State, Long Beach State at Creighton, Nevada at Iona, and Drexel at Cleveland State…

…Raycom Sports released the second of a new three-episode ACC Network syndicated series, ACC Basketball: Kings of the Court. Each half-hour show goes beyond the game to tell the unique story of a player or coach, and how they made a name for themselves in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Host by ACC Network’s Cory Alexander, episode two looks at the stories of Virginia’s Ralph Sampson and Wake Forest’s Muggy Bogues. Sampson (7’4”) and Bogues (5’3”) are, respectively, one of the tallest and shortest players in conference history…

…Patriot League All-Access will broadcast the 2012 Patriot League Men and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships later this month. The All-Access coverage is available for a monthly fee of $7.95, which gives viewers the ability to watch the swimming and diving championships from Navy’s Lejeune Hall. Fans who already purchased an All-Access subscription for the men and women’s basketball seasons will be able to watch the live video stream of the swimming and diving championships at no extra cost. In addition, fans can purchase a yearly subscription to All-Access for $19.95, which would give them access to the second half of Patriot League play in both men and women’s basketball, plus championship coverage this spring and in the fall of 2012…

…CBS Sports filled its Big Ten ‘wildcard’ men’s basketball game for Sunday, Feb. 19 with Michigan State at Purdue. Kevin Harlan and Clark Kellogg will have the call from Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, IN beginning at 1 p.m…

…Under Armour will become the official outfitter of Southern Illinois University Athletics beginning later this year. The five-year agreement gives Under Armour the right to provide on-field and training gear to 17 varsity sports including football and men’s basketball. Additionally, Under Armour will outfit members of the athletic department including coaches and staff.
