This advanced level of innovation includes new openGear solutions, the introduction of Blue Box Group, new line of interface converter boxes and specialty solutions, LMNTS for loudness processing and management, and Spotcheck for logging and records keeping in response to CALM.
openGear Solutions
EMDE Quad-Stream SDI – AES – MADI Embedder/De-embedder for openGear provides a full unrestricted audio crosspoint that allows channel routing between any channels on up to four SDI streams, discrete AES-3id, and AES-10 MADI interfaces. Embed-only and De-embed only versions are also available as well as the dual SDI stream 9372 and single SDI stream 9271 versions.
3G/HD/SD-SDI / ASI Redundancy Switch for openGear allows GPI or Dashboard changeover control between two SDI or ASI sources to a common SDI or ASI output. Output routing uses a latching relay to retain the selected I/O path even if the card/frame fails or the card is removed from its slot.
HPF-9000 High Power openGear 20 slot frame offers the highest available power for an openGear-compatible frame: 360 Watts net – 3x the available power of our previous 20 slot frame.
Transport- Based Loudness Innovations
LMNTS (Loudness Management for n – Transport Streams) is a first in comprehensive transport based loudness processing. LMNT’s provides a practical CALM / EBU R128 loudness management solution for MVPD operators without the need or complexity of external CODECs transferring between baseband and MPEG interfaces. Fully scalable solution handling up to 40 simultaneous 5.1 HD audio programs per 1RU unit.
Spotcheck provides easy to use, automatic loudness measurement and access to audio loudness records. Spotcheck monitors an MPEG stream at the transmit (emission) encode point, and measures and logs loudness for all programming emanating from the facility.
Blue Box Group Modular Solutions
Blue Box Group is a all-new line of interface converter boxes. Blue Box powers directly via USB to get its power from video monitors or other equipment without bulky “wall wart” adapters.
