SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund Looks to Help Hurricane Sandy Victims

Almost every beachfront home in Belle Harbor was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.

The SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund is accepting applications for aid from those impacted by Hurricane Sandy, which decimated much of the New Jersey coastline and displaced thousands upon thousands of residents in New Jersey and New York. Those who are work for sports TV production companies, networks, manufacturers, and leagues and teams are eligible for assistance.

“The Sports Broadcasting Fund was set up expressly for situations like Sandy,” says Ken Kerschbaumer, SVG executive director, editorial. “And by providing a helping hand to those most in need we hope to make a small but positive impact on the lives of those who spend their professional lives and energy making the sports industry a vital part of our society.”
