LiveU Technology Delivers Super Bowl Media Day and More from New Orleans

In the days leading up to the Super Bowl, multiple media outlets and both NFL teams are utilizing LiveU’s video-over-cellular technology to help deliver on-air and online coverage. Both the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers used LiveU’s LU40 handheld technology at Media Day to stream their sessions live while walking through the stadium. They’ll be relying on both LU40 and LU70 units to continue to stream team events, parties, and press conferences throughout the week.

CBS News crews are utilizing both LU40 and LU70 units to assist with news coverage throughout the week – covering happenings around New Orleans, the media compound and stadium.  This footage will be broadcast on CBS News, CBS Newspath, and the CBS O&O stations. Local Sinclair and Cox stations from both Baltimore and San Francisco are using LiveU’s units to augment their news coverage. Turner Sports and the Pulse Network are taking advantage of the portability of LiveU’s technology to stream live events and parties.

All in all, LiveU estimates that several dozen units are on the ground in New Orleans to help bring coverage home to sports fans around the country.
