New WatchESPN App Now Available Free to Download in the Amazon Appstore

Amazon Appstore customers and Kindle Fire users that enjoy sports at home and on the go with WatchESPN will now be able to download a major update to the app in the Amazon Appstore.  It includes additional content, performance enhancements and design elements that bring to life Kindle Fire devices, including Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX.

The latest WatchESPN app for Kindle Fire delivers live access to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3, ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS and ESPN Goal Line/Buzzer Beater to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.  Live access to popular sports and fan-favorite shows include college football and basketball, Monday Night Football, MLB, NBA, major golf tournaments, all four Grand Slam tennis events and more.  The new app also introduces ESPN.com on-demand clips surrounding the latest news and must see videos featured prominently on the app homepage and accessible to all sports fans.

The WatchESPN update for the Amazon Appstore for Android and Kindle Fire users follows the WatchESPN launch on the debut release of Amazon Fire TV earlier this month.  WatchESPN on Fire TV also delivers live access to ESPN networks to fans with an affiliated video provider and an on-demand video offering that features the most recent and relevant content available to all users.  It is the latest platform to carry the authenticated networks service.
