University of North Carolina Athletics Seeks Asst. Director of New Media for Gameday and Gameday Coordinator

The University Of North Carolina Department Of Athletics is seeking two highly motivated individuals to direct the Department’s activities in the area of Gameday Management and video board production.

The Assistant Director of New Media for Gameday will manage the group responsible for in-arena productions at Carolina Athletic events. This group strives to create fun, entertaining and engaging atmospheres to compliment sporting events and showcase Carolina’s programs, student-athletes and coaches.

This position will manage production of video board, electronic signage, audio and other components covering eight sports in five venues. The Assistant Director of New Media for Gameday will work with the Gameday Coordinator and other staff to develop and execute strategies for venue content, event promotion, sponsor fulfillment and other creative projects. The Assistant Director of New Media for Gameday would also manage non-video board creative productions as assigned from the Assistant Athletic Director.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least four years’ experience working in sports video production, with at least two years’ experience directly working in video board productions in a college or professional sports setting.

Gameday Coordinator
The Gameday Coordinator will act as a member of the group responsible for creating fun and engaging in-arena productions at Carolina Athletic events. This includes production of video board, electronic signage, audio and other components to create an exciting game atmosphere.

The coordinator will work with the Assistant Director of New Media for Gameday and other staff to develop and execute strategies for venue content, sponsor fulfillment and creative projects. This position will have significant responsibility for shooting, editing, and motion graphics production.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ experience working in sports video production.
