Quantel’s Pablo Rio Takes Digital Jungle to ‘A Better Place’

Hollywood post house, Digital Jungle Post Production, has completed work on independent drama-fantasy ‘A Better Place’, the first feature length film for which it has handled the complete production and post-production. Digital Jungle completed the conform, color correction and over 100 VFX shots on its Quantel Pablo 4K color and finishing system and Neo Nano control panel.

QuantelDirected by Digital Jungle’s Founder and President, Dennis Ho, ‘A Better Place’, tells the story of Jeremy Rollins, a shy and underdeveloped young man who was born with a mysterious condition which has required him to live in isolation with his mother for most of his life. After the death of his mother, Jeremy is forced to venture into the world and has to confront – through his childlike innocence – the realities of a harsh society and the cruelties of the people it produces. ‘A Better Place’ is in the submission process for major film festivals.

“Pablo is a key part of our pipeline and we are continually impressed with its speed, color toolset and phenomenal power,” says says Founder and President at Digital Jungle Post Production, Dennis Ho. “Our Pablo was a workhorse throughout this project, allowing us to do everything from the conform to the color grade all within a single platform – it really made the post process a breeze.”

Located in Hollywood, CA, Digital Jungle Post Production is a 25,000 square foot facility offering 4K, 2K and S3D editing, visual effects, audio, color grading and conversion services to feature films, commercials, music videos and film trailers.

“We are delighted to support Digital Jungle as they begin this exciting new chapter in feature-film production,” says Quantel Marketing Director, Steve Owen. “Quantel is the right system for the job, providing Digital Jungle with an unbeatable all-in-one post workflow to produce the highest quality results.”
