MLB Network Ups Dave Patterson, Mike Santini to Production SVP and VP

MLB Network has promoted Senior Coordinating Producer Dave Patterson to Senior Vice President of Production, reporting to MLB Network President Rob McGlarry. Senior Coordinating Producer Mike Santini was also promoted to Vice President of Production, reporting to Patterson. Both Patterson and Santini have been with MLB Network since its launch in 2009.

As SVP of Production for MLB Network, Patterson will oversee the look and presentation of MLB Network’s studio programming and game coverage. Patterson was previously a senior coordinating producer at MLB Network, where he worked on the network’s Emmy Award-winning signature studio show “MLB Tonight” since its launch in January 2009.

Prior to joining MLB Network, Patterson spent 18 years at MSG Network in New York, where he worked as a producer and later a coordinating producer on the daily studio show “MSG SportsDesk,” in addition to postgame studio shows for the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. Patterson began his career as a production assistant and as an associate sports producer at the CBS affiliate WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C., after graduating from American University with a BA in broadcast journalism.

Santini was previously a senior coordinating producer at MLB Network, working across all of MLB Network’s studio programming since its launch in January 2009, including the  Emmy Award-winning signature studio show “MLB Tonight.”

Prior to joining MLB Network, Santini spent 20 years at MSG Network in New York, where he began as a freelance production assistant and rose to coordinating producer, working on New York Mets and New York Yankees game telecasts, as well as studio programming including “MSG SportsDesk.” Santini also spent six years as a freelance producer for MLB International’s coverage of the World Series and League Championship Series, and worked on CBS’ production of the 1998 Nagano Olympic Winter Games. Santini graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BA in journalism.
