YES Network, Tribune Media Reach Agreement to Bring Yankees Games Back to WPIX-TV

The YES Network and Tribune Media Company reached a multi-year agreement under which Tribune Media’s PIX11 has secured exclusive over-the-air rights to New York Yankees games in the New York DMA beginning with the 2015 Major League Baseball season.  Specific financial terms were not released.Screen Shot 2015-01-27 at 11.07.34 AMPIX11 will televise approximately 20 games this season; its broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.  PIX11 had been the broadcast home of the Yankees from 1951 through 1998.  YES, which remains the exclusive local television rights holder for the Yankees, will televise 125 Yankees games this season.
