wTVision Continues to Score in Big Competitions

In January, wTVision traveled to Africa to provide the graphics coverage for one of the major football competitions in that continent: the Africa Cup of Nations. This year’s edition was held in Equatorial Guinea, and a team of four elements from wTVision covered every game from all four stadiums in which the events occurred. The company also played a major role in the XXVII South American Championship – Youth of America and Chennai Open.

FootballStats CG – Single Operation Edition was the software behind all the operation, which included the management of the competition’s official graphics and the import of the statistics from an official provider.

At the end of this competition, wTVision added 32 more football matches to its portfolio. 2014 was a year of success for wTVision in the African territory, as it was the company responsible for the graphic’s coverage of the national football league in Gabon and the 2014 African Women’s Championship in Namibia. Also for the Phumelela TV channels in South Africa, wTVision provided branding services and its brand new software – HorseBetting CG.

XXVII South American Championship – Youth of America
The XXVII South American Championship “Youth of America” was held in Uruguay this January. wTVision was chosen by The Game — the project’s client — to provide the statistics and the real-time graphics for all the games that were broadcast by several channels across Bolivia. This time, wTVision was not present at each of the venues, but instead conducted a centralized data scouting and graphics operation for its Bolivian client at their facilities.

wTVision’s software FootballStats CG – Standard Edition was chosen by the client, to manage the graphics playout and data gathering during the live broadcast of all the championship matches.

All the data gathered during the games was stored into SportStats Center, a database system that managed all the championship statistics, updating the classifications match-by-match as well as all the teams and player’s statistics.

“With wTVision’s software we did for the first time in Bolivia the full broadcast of an event in HD with international standards,” says José Maria Quiroga, CEO, The Game. “Through its statistics gathering systems we have done a perfect analysis of all games during the broadcasts, providing a high level of information to our commentators and our spectators. The simple and effective way that wTVision’s software manages data and on-air graphics in real-time, made extraordinarily easy the production of this event. We are extremely pleased to have chosen wTVision’ services. This company had brought us the confidence to continue with the partnership for upcoming events. wTVision makes from each production a new, innovative and interesting product for the Bolivian TV.”

Approximately one year ago, wTVision introduced for the first time its football solution in the Latin America, with the Bolivian football league coverage, also for The Game.

Chennai Open Tennis
Aircel Chennai Open is an ATP event that has been happening for 20 years in India. wTVision was the graphics provider for the last three editions, held in Chennai. The event included Men Singles and Doubles matches, and was broadcast on Star Sports, a cable network sports channel owned by STAR TV and Fox International channels.

wTVision offered an end-to-end service that included the graphics project’s implementation, the customization of wTVision’s software, and the on-site support and operation. The graphic line for the tournament was created by wTVision designers. A single operator used TennisStats CG to provide live statistics for the broadcast and for the commentators, giving them access to a Sports Commentator with all the updated statistics.
