Seen on Screen: Canada’s Bell Media Sets Women’s World Cup Plans; Fox Sports West Offers Robust Angels Spring Training Coverage

Bell Media’s CTV, TSN, and RDS, official broadcasters of FIFA events between 2015 and 2026 including the FIFA World Cup in 2018, 2022, and 2026 released the broadcast schedule for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015. In total, the networks will cover the tournament in its entirety, delivering live broadcast coverage of all 52 games from the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015.

The tournament starts Saturday, June 6 at 6 p.m. ET on CTV/RDS featuring host Canada taking on China PR at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. Taking place in six cities across Canada (Edmonton, Moncton, Montréal, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Winnipeg), the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 culminates with the Final on Sunday, July 5 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV/RDS at BC Place in Vancouver.

…Fox Sports West and the Angels have unveiled their 2015 Cactus League television schedule, announcing a slate of 29 games to be aired live from Arizona.

Terry Smith will again partner with analyst, Jose Mota to call the action for all Spring Training games airing from Tempe, AZ on FOX Sports West and Prime Ticket. Immediately following game coverage, “Angels Live” will offer a post-game recap. Alex Curry will rotate at the host position with Patrick O’Neal to lead discussions alongside analyst Mark Gubicza and Mota.

And to set up the 2015 season, Rojas will host the “Angels Live: Season Preview Special” alongside Gubicza and Mota. The hour-long original program debuts on April 2 at 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Prime Ticket and again on April 3 at 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m….

…Bounce TV has signed a multi-year deal to televise live boxing events of the new Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series. PBC The Next Round will be a monthly series, with two hours of live boxing featuring the most exciting prospects in the sport and boxing’s future stars. The series will premiere on Bounce TV in July, with a schedule of fights and on-air talent to be announced shortly. Bounce TV joins NBC Sports Group, CBS Sports and SPIKE TV as television partners for The Premier Boxing Champions series…

… NASCAR Productions and Spike TV have joined forces to create a captivating and revealing documentary on the life of a legendary American sports hero — Dale Earnhardt.  The original film, “I AM DALE EARNHARDT,” premieres exclusively on Monday, March 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV.

With in-depth and insightful interviews with some of the biggest names in the sport, unforgettable highlights from Earnhardt’s greatest moments on the track, and rare footage of Earnhardt’s life off-the track, the film is an up-close-and-personal look at the man behind the iconic mustache.
