LiveU
LiveU LogoFrom backpacks to smartphones, and satellite/cellular hybrid to external antenna solutions, LiveU offers a complete range of workflow solutions for live sports anytime, anywhere. This is why many universities trust LiveU for broadcasting games, press conferences, pre- and post-game shows and more. LiveU will present these solutions at SVG College Sports Summit (booth #108), including:

  • LU200 – This ultra-small newsgathering device offers colleges a highly attractive price, performance and form-factor for live video transmission. The LU200 opens new live coverage opportunities, enabling every field camera to be equipped with a bonding uplink unit. Weighing just over 1lb (500g), the LU200 is available in a pouch or camera-mount configuration. A new encoder-only version of the device, LU200e, is the most cost-effective contribution video encoder on the market, enabling streaming for web distribution, point to point, and point to multipoint for a fraction of the cost of other solutions.
  • LU500 – The ultimate combination of high-performance and portability for cellular uplink, and four-time Best Product award winner in 2014. The LU500 benefits from a small form-factor combined with exceptional functionality. Weighing approximately 2.2lbs (1kg), the unit is powered by LiveU’s new multi-processor, video encoding engine and fourth-generation patented bonding algorithms, with up to 13 network connections.
  • LiveU MultiPoint – LiveU’s second-generation internal and cross-organizational IP video distribution service allows for distribution of video with minimal delay for up to 100 concurrent destinations via the LiveU cloud distribution server, without requiring additional bandwidth at the point of origin. Using MultiPoint customers can send high-quality video regardless of the type of Internet connection available at the points of origin or destination. The cloud-based MultiPoint service is seamlessly integrated into LiveU’s unified management platform, LiveU Central, so broadcasters can share incoming live feeds simultaneously with multiple end-points over the Internet from within the same interface they are accustomed to.

RT will be demonstrating a new 4K video stitch solution on the booth. Dubbed “tOG-Vista”, the live production stitch solution uses two low-cost static UHD 4K cameras to create a 7680 x 2160 pixel canvas within which two concurrent operators can control two live HD “virtual cameras” for TX. RT’s 4K products have already been proven in test transmissions in the UK.

Graphics solutions for the big sports shows and events continues to be an  area in which RT Software dominates. If you are involved in sports studio shows then virtual studio or augmented graphics are likely to be on your agenda – and you need to see how our new generation of rendering based around PBR adds a truly life like quality. For live sports our new luminance keyer means we can add virtual advertising that is indistinguishable from the traditional painted on approach. Plus of course we will be able to show you the latest features in our proven telestration and analysis solutions.
