TAB 2015: FOR-A To Exhibit Video Production Technology

At this week’s Texas Association of Broadcasters (TAB) convention, FOR-A America will showcase its popular video switcher and signal processing technology. The show takes place at the Renaissance Austin Hotel August 5-6, and is the largest broadcast association convention in the state of Texas. FOR-A will exhibit at the show in booth #27.
“TAB is the premiere regional show in the broadcasting industry,” says Jay Shinn, Vice President of FOR-A America. “FOR-A has many great partnerships in this area, and we’re happy to get the opportunity to further connect with our customers in Texas this week. We’re looking forward to showcasing our technology and finding out more about the needs of broadcasters in this region.”

FOR-A’s new HVS-2000 video production six M/E switcher will be a focus of its TAB booth.  The HVS-2000 is the only switcher with true six M/E capability, in addition to its advanced AUX features with mix, wipe and keys. The switcher’s MELite™ feature transforms a traditional AUX bus into a functional Mix/Effects with cuts, mix, wipes, keys, and DVE including full preview, only found in a FOR-A.

It can be used for Composite, SD, HD, 3G and 4K productions. It allows up to 48 inputs/18 outputs or 40 inputs/22 outputs (optional), and offers a number of exclusive features including FLEXaKEY assignable keying features.

Another video switcher that FOR-A will showcase is its cost effective HVS-100 portable video switcher. The multi-functional unit includes mixed HD/SD input, frame synchronizing, a built-in Web server, clip memory feature, re-sizing engine, 2.5D wipe effects, DVE, Chroma keyer and DSK.

The company will also demonstrate its FA-505 multi-channel signal processor – a five-input, five-output unit that features up/down/cross/aspect ratio conversion capability on each input and is ideal for 4K applications. The signal processor also features a powerful synchronizer that includes frame/line/AVDL modes, video delay line of up to eight frames, full RGB color correction, and 16 channels of embedded audio per channel, with the ability to remap channels from any input to any output.

FOR-A equipment dealer Omega Broadcast Group will also be exhibiting at the show. The company recently purchased FOR-A’s HVS-2000 video switcher for renting to its customers and doing in-house demos, and will also be showing the switcher at TAB in booth #38.
