Barry will lead every aspect of the linear and digital productions for the new eSports league, including working closely with Turner Studios in Atlanta to set the overall vision for the live competitive gaming experience.  He will oversee brand image, multiplatform marketing initiatives, long-term business opportunities and ad sales and sponsorship efforts on behalf of the new endeavor.  Barry will remain a direct report to Daniels.

A 26-year Turner Sports veteran, Barry will continue to be responsible for Turner Sports’ remote and studio productions, operations, technology and talent services for sports content airing on TNT, TBS and truTV.  This includes all productions in conjunction with the NBA, NCAA, MLB and PGA, along with all digital media extensions.  He also leads the creative direction for Turner Sports’ portfolio of sports properties, ensuring collaboration and integration of content and promotion across all platforms.

“Craig is a creative visionary with a proven track record of producing best-in-class content experiences across all screens,” said Lenny Daniels, president of Turner Sports.  “He has an unrivaled passion for every project he touches and I’m confident he will continue to bring tremendous energy, smart risk taking and a cutting-edge mentality to his new role.”

Throughout his career, Barry has been associated with nearly every sports property in various roles.  He has received numerous accolades including 25 national Sports Emmy Awards and over 60 PromaxBDA awards.  Barry is also credited with developing the Creative Services Sports Unit (CSSU) at Turner Sports, an internal creative agency that services the entire division and league partners.

CSSU develops all creative broadcast packaging, graphic design, music, post-production, web design, multimedia content, promotion, creative marketing and sponsorships, and ad sales support for sports content across TBS, TNT, truTV, NBA Digital and NCAA.com.

Barry will continue to be based in Atlanta.
