CCW 2015: Comrex To Demo LiveShot VoIP Codec

Comrex Corporation, an innovator in IP broadcasting technology, will be displaying its premiere LiveShot video-over-IP codec at CCW/SATCON 2015 at the Javits Convention Center on November 11 and 12. LiveShot sends live, wireless, low-latency audio and video bidirectionally over a range of IP networks.

Comrex LiveShot is light-weight, weighing only three pounds, and designed for versatile use. With return video, two IFB returns, and cue channel audio, LiveShot is feature-rich enough to fulfill the needs of broadcasters in the field under a multitude of circumstances. Equipped with CrossLock VPN, LiveShot provides a secure network for data transmission, while also providing a simpler networking experience to configure a bonded channel.

Compatible with most professional and prosumer cameras, LiveShot integrates easily with existing hardware infrastructure. While LiveShot is designed to slip behind a camera battery, it can also be mounted in a truck, carried in a backpack, or carried in a waist-belt, depending on user-preference. LiveShot can be managed in the field with a user-friendly smart-phone app, which enables users to monitor network connections and adjust settings.

Comrex LiveShot is currently in use by the Detroit Lions as part of their regular pre-game and post-game show production. Additionally, LiveShot has also been used by Fox Deportes to broadcast the UEFA Champions League live from Berlin, and by the City of Bakersfield in California to broadcast video onto the jumbotron in Rabobank Arena.
