CTG Adds Tim Sloan to Team as Engineering Manager

Comprehensive Technical Group (CTG) has announced the appointment of Tim Sloan as its new Engineering Manager. As Engineering Manager, Sloan will be responsible for overseeing systems design, documentation and commissioning for the company’s integration projects.  

He brings 15+ years’ of broadcast engineering, design, integration, and project management.  Sloan has held leadership roles at TI Broadcast Solutions Group as well as CNN.  He  holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Engineering from Western Kentucky University and received the highest GPA in his graduating class.

Most recently at ION Media Networks, Sloan served as Director of Engineering. In that role, he was responsible for implementing a digital workflow, multiple master control playout, and satellite uplinks to 60 ION TV stations.  In addition, his staff was responsible for 24/7 maintenance and upgrades to the entire facility that included production and postproduction support.

Prior to working at ION Media Networks, Sloan served as Senior Director of Engineering for NorthStar Studios.  In this position, he was responsible for multiple master control playouts for various TV networks, as well as designing and managing a major technology rebuild worth $2.7 million.
