daviesMichael Davies is Vice President of Technical Operations for Fox Sports in Los Angeles.  With two decades of operational and management experience in various aspects of remote production, he has specialized in technical production and innovation for large sporting events including Super Bowl XLII, the BCS, Daytona 500, and the World Series.

Davies has overseen many television firsts in his career, including the first NFL regular season game from Wembley Stadium in 2007, the first live paid 3D Sports Event (BCS 2009), and most recently, the live turnaround of the NFL on FOX Pregame show from Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

Previously, Mr. Davies worked for HBO Sports in New York.   He worked in operations and the technical management on the network’s Boxing and other sports series.

Bruce Shapiro is the Coordinating technical Producer for Speed, a Fox Networks group operation. Speed is located in a state of the art facility in Charlotte North Carolina. He is responsible for the networks technical remote operations. These include NASCAR, Grand Am Rolex, ARCA, ALMS, AMA, and other series. Speed as well produces the Barrett Jackson Auto Auctions, and other motorsports events.

He has been with Speed since July 2007.

Prior to Speed, Shapiro was a freelance Technical Manager, for ESPN, MLBI, Versus, and others. He was in on the development of ESPN X-games, and the transition to HD for several networks, and corporate facilities.

Shapiro has had experience in many aspects of engineering, and operations positions in his 35 years of television, including Video Engineering, Technical Direction, Transmission and Technical Operations.

He is the recipient of 8 Emmy’s in various technical areas.

With over 25 years of experience in both the television industry, and most recently in the digital media space, John Leland has unparalleled expertise in traditional and new media operations from seamlessly integrating advanced broadcast solutions to producing major international events online.

In the beginnings of his career, Leland worked with various facilities companies in Technical Management as well as with NBC both as a Tech Manager and a Director of Sports and Olympics Technical Operations. After NBC, he transitioned into the world of sports technology and became Senior Vice President of Operations at Sportvision, a premier global provider of enhancements for sports television. From Sportvision he then moved to become Vice President of Operations at Venue Services Group (VSG) where he was responsible for system design and implementation of state-of-the-art television technologies.

Later on, John Leland held the highly regarded position of Senior Director for IMG Digital Media and while there he was the main operational lead for successful events such as New York’s Fashion Week, Model.Live, The Masters, and design implementation of a fifteen city Preditor (Producer/Editiors) System providing content for CBS Digital Media.

Throughout Leland’s career, he has received accolades for major large-scale events such as the Olympics which has brought him to be honored as a four-time Emmy Award-winning television professional (including the Seoul and Barcelona Olympics, and for technical excellence with NASCAR and the PGA Tour).

williamsChris Williams is one of the four founding Principals of Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc., His specialty is the project management and design of electronic presentation systems for corporate, commercial and educational facilities, as well as for arenas and stadia. His work involves: multi-media systems design, video projection and display systems, television and broadcast video systems design and provisions, distributed video systems and scoreboard video design.

Chris Williams has provided broadcast consulting and video system design for many contemporary sports venues in this country and abroad.  Since 1978, he has worked in many aspects of video systems design and operation.  He has prepared programming studies, design recommendations and detailed design documentation for a wide range of video, multi-media and teleconferencing systems, for corporate clients as well as the specialized sports and public assembly facilities markets.

Chris has been a pioneering systems designer working on the unique aspect ratio video displays throughout professional sports in the last decade. The most recent examples of the work can be seen at Turner Field’s first professional High Definition video and scoring display, the renovations at the recently re-minted Rogers Centre in Toronto, and the Seattle Seahawks unique video displays at Qwest Field.

Pat Sullivan is President and owner of Game Creek Video, the largest independently owned mobile production company in the United States. Game Creek provides remote production trailers to clients including ESPN, The YES Network, CBS, ABC, NBC Olympics, HBO, and FOX Sports. Sullivan is responsible for all strategic planning and corporate sales for Game Creek. Sullivan previously served as General Manager of the New England Patriots, from 1983 to 1991, during which time the Patriots won the AFC Championship and appeared in Super Bowl XX.
