Curt Gowdy, Jr. is the Senior Vice President of Production and Executive Producer at SNY – the TV home of the New York Mets, Jets and BIG EAST Conference. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing all production and on-air talent at the network.  Gowdy also oversees the network’s original entertainment and news programming, including SNY’s critically acclaimed shows Loud Mouths, The WheelHouse, Daily News Live, SportsNite, Beer Money, Street Games, The SNY Invitational and various award-winning documentaries. Over the course of his career, Gowdy has been recognized for his work by garnering more than 20 Emmy Awards.

Prior to joining SNY in May of 2005, Mr. Gowdy worked for ABC Sports/ESPN for 27 years where he served as the coordinating producer and producer for Major League Baseball’s World Series, The League Championship Series, All-Star games, Summer and Winter Olympic Games, ABC’s Wide World of Sports, Horse Racing’s Triple Crown, College Football and the Little League World Series.

As coordinating producer for Major League Baseball, Gowdy produced three World Series, including the critically acclaimed 1989 San Francisco earthquake series.  He also coordinated the day to day operations of ABC’s Wide World of Sports, the longest running sports anthology show in television history.

The native Bostonian and graduate of Colby College is an expert salt and freshwater fly fisherman.  He is an accomplished guitarist, pianist and composer.  He resides in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife Karen and their three daughters; Taylor, Katherine and Grace.
