steinberg1Since 1994 Steinberg has managed all aspects of operations for live broadcasts (250-350 live events per year) including facilities, manpower, and new technologies. During that time he has overseen World Series, Super Bowls, Stanley Cups, and was also part of the development team for Foxbox, FoxTrax (the glowing puck), and other various audio and video enhancements. From 1984-1994 he was a freelance technician and video operator on four Olympic Games, World Cup Soccer, U.S. Open Tennis, the NCAA Final Four, the Super Bowl, World Series, and even Operation Desert Storm.

Prior to becoming a freelancer Steinberg was chief engineer at Sun Television where he was responsible for design and construction of premier mobile broadcast unit on West Coast. He originally became involved in the sports industry in 1979 when he was a truck EIC at ESPN where he maintained technical standards and equipment during live broadcasts and was part of the original technical crew for ESPN’s inaugural season.
