Andrea Berry, Fox Sports, SVP, Broadcast Operations, FOX Network Engineering and Operations

Andrea Berry has served as Senior Vice President, Broadcast Operations, Fox Network Engineering and Operations since January 2004. In her current capacity, Ms. Berry is responsible for all FOX broadcast operations and transmission that support the Fox network, and all of its cable entities. Previously as Senior Vice President of Field Operations, she was responsible for the remote technical operations for Fox Sports’ live high-profile NFL, NASCAR and Major League Baseball telecasts; and for the remote technical operations of over 5,000 live national and regional telecasts on Fox Sports Net, including MLB, NHL, NBA, boxing and NCAA events.

Ms. Berry joined Fox Sports Net in 1996 as Vice President, Field Operations as a member of the team that launched the acclaimed regional sports networks. Prior to joining Fox Sports Net, she was the Director of Technical Operations at WBBM-TV, the CBS owned-and-operated station in Chicago, where she managed a multi-million dollar operating and capital budget, and oversaw the station’s technical staff.

Ms. Berry began her television career at age 18, working her way through college as a studio technician at WMAQ Chicago, an NBC owned-and-operated station.  In 1984, she was recruited by CBS to serve as a Studio Technical Manager at the network’s New York City broadcast center. She later became CBS’ only female Field Technical Manager at the time, working on network sports, news and entertainment broadcasts, including Presidential Inaugurations, the Winter Olympics, NFL, NBA, MLB and NCAA telecasts. At CBS and at Fox she has won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Technical Team Remotes for the networks’ coverage of the World Series, figure skating at the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer, Norway, and for NASCAR.

Ms. Berry graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Electrical Engineering. Andrea also received an Executive Certificate in “Management and Leadership” from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Business; and an Executive Certificate in New Media Management from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. She lives in Los Angeles, Calif., with her husband, Executive Producer/Director D. Channsin Berry and sons Brandon and Aaron.
