On Nov. 10, more than 200 sports-technology professionals gathered at New Meadowlands Stadium for an in-depth look at football’s newest home during SVG’s third-annual Sports Venue Technology Summit. As sports-venue technology grow exponentially with each passing year, stadiums and arenas around the U.S. and the world are taking on a whole new role. No U.S. venue represents this more than New Meadowlands Stadium.
New Meadowlands CTO Peter Brickman, VP of Design/Construction Robert Jordan, New York Jets’ senior director of broadcasting/multimedia Rich Gentile, and New York Giants’ VP/executive producer Don Sperling kicked off a full day of panel discussions and virtual tours with an overview of the $1.6 billion project. Attendees were also taken on an extensive behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium.
Attendees were offered virtual tours of the Minnesota Twins’ Target Field and the Orlando Magic’s Amway Center as well as panels addressing the latest developments in control-room technology, digital signage, scoreboard technology, wireless and handheld services, and the broadcaster-venue ecosystem.
