Live From MLB at Rickwood Field: FOX Sports’ Francisco Contreras and Tom Lynch Dive Into the Operations Plan
Story Highlights
Working out of one of the most unique locations it has ever produced a live sporting event from, FOX Sports has brought a special operation to MLB at Rickwood Field in Birmingham.
Broadcasting a game from the oldest baseball stadium in the country certainly comes with challenges, but the crew is excited at the exciting story it will tell.
Prior to the show, we caught up with FOX Sports’ Director, Field Operations Francisco “Paco” Contreras and Coordinating Tech Manager Tom Lynch to dive into what it took to set up the compound, what tools are best for capturing the atmosphere, and what they are most looking forward to in the show.
