Òscar Lago, Match Director at GRUP MEDIAPRO, selected by UEFA for UEFA EURO 2024

UEFA EURO 2024 is proving to be one of the highest impact televised sporting events of the season. Òscar Lago Domínguez, head of Sports Match Production at GRUP MEDIAPRO, was chosen by UEFA in the lineup of the select six-strong team of directors to ensure the very best coverage of the event taking place between June 14 to July 14 in ten different German cities.

This will be the second consecutive edition that sees Lago taking part in a UEFA European Championship since the production of major national team football competitions was centralized. Òscar will man the controls for the matches at the Frankfurt headquarters accompanied by a highly experienced team of 50 broadcast professionals from GRUP MEDIAPRO which includes sports directors, producers, cameramen and technicians, all seasoned broadcast production professionals in LALIGA and UEFA Champions League matches.

Lago is one of the most eminent and experienced sports match directors on the international scene, having taken charge of the 2010 and 2019 UEFA Champions League finals in Madrid, the 2019 Copa Libertadores final, the 2022 UEFA Europa League and 2023 UEFA Nations League finals. Under his belt, Lago boasts more than 150 UEFA Champions League matches, 1000 LALIGA matches and a multitude of other events including the Barcelona Olympic Games and the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix.
